Bikicki

Bikicki pronounced (bee-KEETCH-key) was established in 2013 by Đorđe (George) Bikicki and is one of the leading producers of natural wines in Serbia today.

George initially started out in winemaking with 2 partners, however he found that their aims were not aligned and he decided to go it alone with his small family vineyard, and employing Oskar Maurer to vinify the wines for the first 8 years. His current 2 winemakers worked and were trained at Oskar Maurer’s winery.

They currently have around 12 ha of vines managed by Maja in the Fruska Gora region with low yields (27 hl/ha) producing 45,000 bottles / year

The winemaking is minimal intervention and although unfiltered, the wines are fresh, pure and modern.
Their range includes pét-nat, white, orange, red wines and late harvest sweet wines, all fermented on native yeasts with minimal use of sulphur.

Unsure of which label design to go for with their red and white Sfera wines, George decided to use all 6 labels which look great together in the box set of 6.

The Bikicki range consists of:

Sparkling

  • Victor : Pét-nat Pinot Grigio
  • Nikka : Pét-nat Pinot Noir

  • Sfera : Sauvignon Blanc. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in spherical concrete tanks.
  • Moma: Traminac (aka Gewurztraminer) with 20h on skin and aged in ceramic amphora.

  • Uncensored : Traminac with 7 days skin maceration, aged for 1 year in old Serbian oak barrels
