Vigne Marina Coppi was established in 2003 by Francesco Bellocchio and is named after his mother Marina, the daughter of the famous cyclist Fausto Coppi
After studying winemaking, Francesco purchased a small vineyard and convinced his wife to join him in the venture. Their first harvest was in 2005.
They are an artisanal producer with a production of 36,000 bottles / year produced from grapes grown with no chemical fertilizers, using only organic matter and manure in the vineyard.
Vigne Marina Coppi produce 3 Timorasso:
- Francesca : from younger vines, intended to be drank young for pleasure
- Fausto : single vineyard Timorasso named after Francesco’s grandfather. Stainless Steel fermented (~5,000 bottles produced)
- Gran Fostó : single vineyard made in a Burgundian style. Fermented and aged (8 months) in tonneau + 4 years in bottle before release (~1,000 bottles)
