Francesco Iandolo is originally from Campania, moving to Milan to study, he then worked in banking long enough to escape and finance his dream of making wine.
He bought two small Barbera vineyards in the Nizza DOCG and initially renting a Timorasso vineyard in Colli Tortonese and rents space in nearby Monferrato for production, releasing his first vintage in 2019.
Francesco planted his own Timorasso vines between 2018 to 2022 with 4 active hectares and 2 additional hectares that will be active from 2024.
He keeps it simple. 2 wines: one red (Nizza Barbera) and one white (Derthona Timorasso). 5,000 bottles of each are produced each year, with plans to increase this to 40-50,000 bottles total in the future
